Understanding your pets behavior will make it easy to train and reinforce their good behavior. On top of offering basic training, we specialize in working with fearful, reactive, and aggressive dogs. Bridges Canine Training provides modern dog training and behavior modification using positive reinforcement and tools in situations that benefit the dog and owner. We offer in-home private sessions or on site. Package recommendations are based on consultation and client preference.
Meet your Trainer - Royce King
I have been working with dogs since 2019. I began my journey at Petco in Maryland and fell in love with the science and psychology of dogs and their behavior. During my time there I found that there were lots of dogs I could not work with due to store policies. In 2021 I left Petco and began training with a private company here in Pennsylvania. I was with that company from 2021 to 2024. With this company I worked with many clients with fearful, anxious, reactive, and aggressive dogs. I found these clients to be the most rewarding to work with and I sought to create a more specialized program with the freedom to train in the way that was best for clients and their pets. These experiences lead me to create Bridges Canine Training. Currently I work closely with Ironstone Veterinary Hospital through recommendations to their client base with dogs who are struggling with fear-based issues.
Package Pricing

Basic Obedience - Single Session
A one-off training session with you and your dog. Great for dogs & pet parents who need a refresher or want train a specific behavior.
Basic Obedience: Leash manners, potty training, crate training, sit, lay down, stay, come. The average session length is 1 hour.
For an additional fee of $25, I will bring my dog to training sessions to practice dog interactions.

Basic Obedience - 4 to 6 Private Lessons
4-6 week-long commitment. A set curriculum with weekly goals and behaviors to practice. Great for dogs of all ages. Great for pet parents who recently adopted a dog.
The average session length is between 45 minutes to 1 hour. For an additional fee of $25, I will bring my dog to training sessions for dog interactions.
Basic Behaviors: Leash manners, potty training, crate training, sit, lay down, stay, come, leave-it, introducing distractions.
Advanced behaviors: Heel, place, long distance recall under distraction, dog distractions.
Puppy Pack - Ages 8 Weeks to 1 Year
Adult Dog Package - Ages 1 Year+
Advanced Package (For Dogs aged 6+months) - For dogs & pet parents with a history training who want to build off of the basic commands listed. $100 off if you have completed Basic Puppy Pack or Adult Dog Package.

Behavior Modification Program
A 6-8 week program for dogs of all ages with high levels of fear, anxiety or aggression. Using proven, science based training methods to reduce reactive behaviors.
Behavior Modification: Leash reactivity, dog aggression, human aggression, muzzle training, dog interactions, vet visits, and weekly check-ins including phone consultations at request of the client for the duration of the training + 1 month after.
Due to the nature of working with dogs with behavioral issues, some sessions may be longer or shorter than others. Sometimes sessions may be shorter for the health of the dog or benefit of training. The average session length is between 45 minutes to 1 hour.
